Standing Committees

These committees are always active and permanently in place to manage a specific portion of the Chamber.  A “Standing Committee” is typically chaired by a member of the Board of Directors. The management of the Chamber relies heavily on these committees.

Marketing & Strategic Planning Committee

Responsible for reviewing and recommending adoption of short/long range plans and policies. This committee establishes and updates programs, policies, procedures and marketing campaigns on an annual basis.

Nominations Committee

Responsible for preparation and management of the annual elections. Must be made up of at least 3 members in good standing.

Finance Committee

Responsible for general financial policy and supervision of all financial transactions. Co-Chaired by the Treasurer and VP, and consists of 2 board members and 1 member in good standing.

Event Committees

These committees are focused on the planning and execution of their respective events. This means that a Committee can expect to be very active for a select amount of months, but also have a break each year where no meetings are held.  Event Committees are a great way to get involved, network, share your skills, and to have fun.

RORO Expo Committee

Meeting once per month August – March, this group joins with members of the Roscoe Area Chamber of Commerce to produce the Stateline Area’s best business expo.

Christmas Walk Committee

A local tradition, the Christmas Walk is managed by a committee of multiple area volunteers. They coordinate all aspects of the Christmas Walk from sponsorships, parade, business partnerships, and marketing.

Golf Play Day Committee

This committee typically meets about 4 times / year to plan the Chamber’s famous Golf Play Day held in June.

Annual Dinner Committee

Meeting about 4 times per year, between December and March/April – the Annual Dinner Committee plans the Awards Banquet held early each year.

Summer Breeze 5K Committee

Meeting about 4-6 times per year, the 5k Committee plans this annual Chamber event typically held in early August.

Rockton River Market

This event is co-sponsored by the Village of Rockton & the Chamber. A group of community activists work together to play the 4 month long community event. Typically meets 8 – 10 times per year, plus weekly volunteerism at the Market.
